6.+ 7. September 2025
Water is a source of life, a myth and a mirror of social developments. In times of ecological crises and global upheaval, the UM Festival 2025 is dedicated to the element of water – as a resource, symbol and artistic material.
Contemporary positions from the visual arts, music, literature, performance and installation enter into a dialogue with the natural space around the villages of Fergitz and Pinnow in the Uckermark. The works are deliberately created outdoors – in a place where water can be physically and atmospherically felt.
The festival invites visitors to experience water from different perspectives: as a cultural medium, an endangered basis of life or a poetic motif. Visitors move between sculptures, texts, sounds and interventions – and become part of a polyphonic dialogue about visibility, change and responsibility.
‘Water’ is an artistic investigation and an impulse for conscious perception and future-orientated discussions – in the middle of nature.
The detailed programme for the 9th UM Festival 2025 will be published in July 2025.
